Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi convened a meeting with National Men’s Chief Selector Wahab Riaz at the Pakistan Cricket Board headquarters in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. The purpose of the meeting was to deliberate on matters concerning national selection and readiness for the upcoming home T20I series against New Zealand. In attendance were COO PCB Salman Naseer and Director International PCB Usman Wahla.
One of the key items on the agenda was the selection of players for a fitness and conditioning camp in Kakul, Abbottabad, scheduled to commence the following week. The chairman emphasized the need to form a pool of players based on merit and on-field performance. Chief Selector Wahab Riaz also provided a comprehensive report on the players’ performances during the recently concluded HBL PSL 9.
Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi stated, “A squad of players chosen solely based on merit and performance will be equipped to excel at the elite level. The standout performers of HBL PSL 9 should be duly recognized and appreciated for their contributions.”
