PCB Chairman Visits Fitness Camp at Kakul Military Academy

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, visited the Kakul Military Academy in Abbottabad today to personally oversee the ongoing fitness camp conducted by trainers from the Pakistan Army for Pakistan’s T20 squad. The visit was aimed at gaining firsthand insights into the training program and expressing gratitude to the Pakistan Army for their invaluable support in organizing the camp.

 

The fitness camp has played a pivotal role in elevating the physical capabilities of Pakistan’s T20 players, ensuring they are in peak condition for upcoming cricketing commitments, including the ICC T20 World Cup scheduled for June this year.

 

During the visit, Chairman Naqvi engaged with the players, praising them for their dedication and active involvement in the camp. He expressed contentment with the players’ passion and commitment towards improving their fitness levels.

 

In addition to interacting with the players, Chairman PCB convened a meeting with the selection committee to discuss the team’s composition ahead of the New Zealand T20I series. Captain Babar Azam was also present at the meeting. Furthermore, Chairman Naqvi briefed the committee on the latest developments regarding the appointment of the head coach.

 

Expressing gratitude to the Pakistan Army, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said, “I extend sincere thanks to the Pakistan Army for their support to our cricketers. Their collaboration will not only enhance the players’ fitness levels but also instill discipline in them for the future.”

 

He added, “This camp will undoubtedly prepare the players well for the challenging road ahead as they gear up for a global tournament in the USA and West Indies. The PCB is committed to offering comprehensive support to its players, providing them with the necessary resources to excel at the international level.
