30th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup: Pakistan and Japan ended On a 1-1 draw after a thrilling encounter

Pakistan scored a last-minute goal against Japan in their third pool match to draw the match

The hockey match between Pakistan and Japan in the ongoing 30th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia ended in a 1-1 draw after a thrilling encounter. Pakistan scored a penalty corner goal in the last minute of the fourth quarter to draw the match.
In the ongoing Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Ipoh, Malaysia, Pakistan scored a last-minute goal against Japan in their third pool match to draw the match. Pakistan was facing a one-goal deficit until the 59th minute of the match which was scored by Japan’s Ken Naga Yoshi from a penalty corner in the 33rd minute of the game. Waheed Ashraf scored a goal to end Japan’s lead and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

The teams of Pakistan and Japan are occupying the first and second positions on the points table with seven equal points. Pakistan won the Browns Medal in the 29th Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Cup. Six teams are participating in the event, including the host team Malaysia, Pakistan, Korea, Japan, New Zealand and Canada.

Pakistan will play the fourth match of its pool against Canada at 1:00 pm Pakistan time.
