A Dubai-style race in France, in which women will race camels
The picturesque town of Aix-les-Bains in France will host a historic and unique event.
In France, preparations are being made for a Dubai-style race on the occasion of the Paris Olympics where women will race camels, but this camel race has nothing to do with the Olympics. According to Arab News, this grand event will be held on August 4, and the Dubai Arabian Camel Riding Center will participate in two camel races of 300 meters.
The race aims to promote camel racing in Europe and attract new fans to this traditional sport. The race is being held in France at a time when many athletes from other sports are in Paris for the Olympics.
“We’ve been organizing camel races in France for a long time,” said race organizer Olivier Philippeneau.
“However, the participants from Dubai are excited to compete with the jockeys (camel runners), and this is going to be of great importance in the global context as well.””This race marks the beginning of a new chapter in the global camel race and we are proud to have ADCRC from Dubai participating in it,” he added.
Their (ADCRC) participation underscores the growing importance of camel-related sports globally.
