Falcons team of Saudi Arabia became the E-Sports Club World Cup champion

In the E-Sports World Cup held in Riyadh Boulevard City, the Kingdom’s Falcons team won the big competition on Saturday and claimed the title and the first prize of 7 million dollars.
According to Arab News, after winning the competition, Team Falcons has become the winner of the eSports World Cup 2024 club championship for the first time. The team’s heroes from the kingdom’s capital are already leading the commanding championship of e-gaming on July 7 with a lead of 4160 points.
At the end of the seventh week of the ongoing E-Games in Riyadh, the results of the two competitions have put Team Falcons in an invincible position.
Netherlands’ Team Liquid are the closest challengers to second-placed Team Falcons, who missed out on qualifying for next week’s Round of 8, ending their hopes of winning the eSports World Cup Club Championship. Team Vitality, which participated in these competitions, has also been eliminated from the competition after losing to StarCraft II.
The fans at the Boulevard City Riyadh celebrated the victory enthusiastically. The grand finals of Saudi eSports StarCraft II, EA Sports FC 24, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will take place this week.
The eSports World Cup in Riyadh will conclude with a grand ceremony on Sunday, August 25, where the eSports World Cup Club Champion will be awarded a cash prize. The eSports World Cup offers a unique concept of simultaneous multi-game play featuring the world’s top clubs and players in 22 global competitions across 21 leading games.
With more than 1,500 players from 60 countries competing, the $60 million prize pool is the largest in eSports history.
