According to the private TV channel Geo News, a ceremony was held in the President’s House to award Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem with Halal Imtiaz, which was attended by federal ministers, senators, and other personalities, in recognition of Arshad Nadeem’s great achievements in the field of javelin throw. President Asif Ali Zardari awarded Hilal Imtiaz to Arshad Nadeem. It should be noted that Arshad Nadeem set an Olympic record by throwing the javelin to 92.97 meters in the javelin throw game of the Paris Olympics and won the gold medal for Pakistan for the first time. Arshad Nadeem was announced to be awarded Hilal-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan on winning the gold medal.
